SERVICE & SUPPORT

New England Laser is “NOT” just another online retailer that sells all kinds of Laser Levels, Construction Laser Levels, and Surveyor Equipment that it cannot provide support for. When you purchase equipment from New England Laser, you get an experienced staff, a phone call away. We not only sell the products, we are a service center that repairs all makes and models of laser and optical equipment, right here, in our facility.

DON’T BE FOOLED The best price is not always the best deal. Laser & Optical Equipment rarely comes in from the manufacturer properly calibrated. Unlike most retailers that drop ship equipment without inspecting and proper calibration, New England Laser inspects, calibrates, and records all equipment before it ships to the customer, assuring that every unit meets or exceeds specifications.

Whether you need to discuss what equipment would suit your needs best, review your order, or need training for your equipment, you can depend on the experienced staff at New England Laser for product support. As a matter of fact, when you call New England Laser, you will most likely speak to an owner who takes great pride in making sure that your questions or concerns are satisfied.

HISTORY

New England Laser & Transit was established in 1992 by Rolf Moody and Phil Murphy of Bow, NH. Rolf and Phil both had years of experience repairing lasers and optical equipment. Their experience helped them develop a company that would focus primarily around servicing existing equipment, and the product knowledge that came with being technicians helped them choose products that would best serve their customers.

After growing the business for ten years, the company was sold to Carroll Concrete in Newport, NH. A state-of-art facility was built and additional sales and repair staff were added to maintain the high level of customer service that remains the hallmark of New England Laser & Transit Company.

In June of 2008, Joe Wallace and Alan LaRose purchased the business from Carroll Concrete. Joe had served as chief technician and operations manager with the previous owner and continues to do so today. Alan took on the role of sales manager and business development. Both owners are committed to providing the most dependable service in New England and the finest products in the industry.

In March of 2016, New England Laser moved to Sunapee NH at it's current location. The new and larger building became necessary to provide room for some new calibration equipment, a showroom, some retail space, and room to grow.

In September of 2019, Joe Wallace decided to leave the company to move to Virginia for the milder winters and more central to his children. We will always grateful to Joe's contribution to the company and wish him the very best. Alden Merritt took on the job of chief tech. and has become a valuable employee and is the son in law to Alan.

In 2021, the business took on Jon LaRose, oldest son of Alan. Jon does sales and support specializing in 2D and 3D machine control. In 2022 Gus LaRose, 2nd of Alan's sons, changed from full time U.S. Coast Guard to reserves and now works with the family to grow New England Laser to the next level, making the company a family business with 2 generations.
