Introducing the latest in grade rod technology; “The Smart Rod” is manufactured by AGATEC, one of the sister companies of AGL incorporated, located in Arkansas, USA. The Smart Rod combines a laser receiver and a grade rod into one device. The Smart Rod is equipped with a large, 6 1⁄2 inch capture window to receive the laser beam produced by any rotating laser, whether visible or infrared. The Smart Rod has a range of reading for laser shots as low as 3.2 feet to as high as 13.2 from the ground. The Smart Rod also has a working radius of up to 1000 feet. However, regardless of the height of the receiver, the digital display is conveniently located right in front of you. The display also offers 3 units of measurement to choose from for easy reading; metric, feet in inches, and feet in tenths.

The Smart Rod is powered by just a few alkaline batteries and it even gives you a battery level reading so that you don’t get caught unprepared. The Smart Rod even shuts itself off after 5 minutes of “no use” in order to save battery life. The entire unit weighs only 8 pounds, is water and dust resistant, and has an operating temperature of 14§F to 122§F.
